Introduction

At Women’s Health Research with Chinese Medicine we seek to provide patients with the very best Chinese Medicine for common women diseases:

Dysmenorrhea, Irregular Menstruation, Amenorrhea, Premenstrual Tension Syndrome, Menopausal Syndrome, Acute Mastitis, Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands, Infertility, Malposition of Fetus, Endometriosis, Uterine Fibroids, Ovarian Cysts, Breast Hyperplasia, Mastitis, Vaginitis, Urinary Tract Infections, and Migraine.

Vision:

Drive the adoption of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the treatment of women's health problems.

Mission:

Treat women's diseases using TCM that provides clinical evidence of the effectiveness of the treatments (aka, clinical research) and the results are verified using both Chinese medicine and western wedicine technology.

Western Medicine Approach

When patients exhibit the symptoms of any of the health problems cited above, their first response is typically to seek the advice of western doctors for examination and treatment.  Generally, patients are often offered no treatment other than antibiotics for infections.  Doctors frequently recommend surgery as their treatment plan.   This approach differs widely from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Traditional Chinese Medicine Approach

For women who are suffering in the early stages from one or more of the above health problems, Chinese medicine doctors treat patients with acupuncture and natural herb formulas for internal and external use.  Most patients do not have to take antibiotics or follow the extreme measure of surgery after Dr. Lei’s treatments.

Our Research Program

Having directly experienced successful treatment of patients using TCM, it is important to take these treatments to the next level to demonstrate scientifically the benefits of acupuncture and herb formulas.  Our initial focus will be deep research on Breast Hyperplasia and Mastitis drawing from our pool of patients that come to our clinic and meet research criteria.  Individual research projects are designed to collect data during the clinical treatment of women that will be later analyzed and the results published. (See MORE about our two research programs in the "Research" section.)

Advising us in our research are two volunteer medical professionals, Dr. Jenny Hua, OB-GYN of Palo Alto Medical Foundation and Dr. Robert Cowan, professor of Stanford University.

We are also looking for more participants joining our program. If you are interested in our program, please Contact Us.
